The regular administrative staff are taking a vacation, and in the meantime, Biigoh is taking over. See here for more information.
A notice about Rule 3 regarding sites hosting pirated/unauthorized content has been made. Please see here for details.
Staff is working to deal with the problem of synonymous tags. See here for more information and to suggest tag mergers.
Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
What you're talking about is the same as the Parent/Child tag functionality that QQ doesn't currently possess. SB has it, but it's an add-on, not core XF functionality, and QQ doesn't purchase that add-on.
Actually, this isn't correct. The search engine autosuggest will suggest any tag with the typed-in text within it; you can test this easily by typing "fgo" into the filter or the tag search and noting that "extra fgo", "I blame jack the ripper (fgo)" and "post fgo au timeline" are all in the...
The three different variations of "FGO part 2 ending spoilers" probably shouldn't be included in the general FGO tag, but they should be made synonyms of each other.
{some fgo ending spoilers - spoilers for fgo part 2 - fgo part 2 spoilers apparently}
The goal, as far as I understand, is to do the latter. If there's thread A tagged "my hero academia" and thread B tagged "boku no hero academia" and those tags are made synonyms, then putting *either* "my hero academia" or "boku no hero academia" into the search or filter will return both thread...
Just gonna tag @LurkingInTheDeceit so this doesn't get lost in the noise, because if it's possible this would solve a lot of people's concerns and provide a lot more power to the search function.
Right, but - why? You keep repeating the same proposal but that's not making it any clearer as to how this would help clear up misspellings, etc? There's an obvious reason to merge "my hero academia" and "boku no hero academia", for instance, or to merge "futa" and "futanari", but I don't see...
1) you should separate out your recommendations, as others have done, into separate subcategories. Don't just dump a list of "here is everything I want to be able to search for".
2) How would that set of branches of tags particularly help? Why are you trying to get yaoi and yuri stories in the...
... Why on earth would they merge Yaoi and Yuri into the same tag? People looking for one of those are unlikely to be happy to be suggested the other. And why are you including in your list stuff like "feminine_mc" and "saga_of_tanya"??
E621, Danbooru, Furaffinity, Gelbooru and Rule34 are all the names of websites, which host images (usually pornographic ones), uploaded by users, and tagged with a wide variety of tags to describe their content.
The entire original ""joke""" of "trap" was 'haha lol you thought that was a girl but it's a guy! lololol you like a guy you're gay now! (Which we all implicitly understand is an inherently negative thing because homophobia is the entire point of the ""joke"")'. It's always just been homophobia...
Thank you for providing a really clear and excellent example of *why* the QQ mods even had to put in a Rule 1, and why they had to make clear in the text of Rule 9 that using slurs against other users is against the rules.
Let's just simplify all your waffling about 'um actually SB banning me...
You both might be interested to know that Vice published an expose on "Collective Shout", the folks behind the delisting of NSFW content (and, of course, plenty of SFW content) on both Steam and itch.io. And then that expose was suddenly pulled by the venture capital firm that owns Vice...
