Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com.
Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

Maybe for the Vista idea she over hears a conversation she shouldn't have about her, and she chooses malicious compliance due to finding out that the Brockton Wards really aren't following any of the actual rules.
I mean that is pretty much the point she isn't using them the way her Shard wants her to. She basically does the same thing everyday without variation or experimentation and doesn't produce any useful data for it.
The main argument here is what counts as using powers in the way the Shard wants...
Personally I see the whole Conflict Drive statement as a more general term to describe the influence Shards have on their Hosts which is a thing. But the main thing to remember is that Shards tend to differ in what they want and how much influence they exert. So maybe these people with powers...
It isn't that it promotes conflict it is just that the Shards are biased in favor of it because they believe that conflict is the fast method to promote growth. But what they are really after is creative power uses and the Host using the power in interesting ways that generate data. While they...
Taylor not wanting to do the typical cape fights that are expected of her is a neat idea and probably extremely frustrating for the PRT since her vigilantism is one of the few hooks they have in her.
Can't imagine that they are having a better time with this Taylor even if she isn't risking her...
Plausible deniability, a usual government tactic, would be the name of the game in such a situation. So long as there aren't any written orders and Armstrong phrased his message to the Think Tank as not being a direct order, the text says priority request rather than order, it can be claimed it...
Pretty sure Roulette's power deals with seeing multiple visions of the future so she might not be intentionally targeting Taylor, but Taylor's presence in an area might mess with her visions in general. Doesn't excuse her outburst during the tour but would explain why Taylor can't claim she was...
Not really considering in my omake Emma got out a bit early due to good behavior, and Sophia if she broke her probation would also have to deal with her original manslaughter sentence in addition to the attempted murder one against Taylor. So odds are that Sophia might have gotten the short end...
NoBeeswax if you want to get your omake threadmarked you should @ FirstSelector it is what works for me.
Also surprised that Sophia managed to get out of prison in the background details of your omake.
Shards want people who will do something with the powers they are given so it is more likely they are looking a specific reaction to the trauma. So it stands to reason that the type of trauma matters very little outside of determining what kind of power is given.
They could be feeling any number of different things but ultimately it would vary wildly from person to person. Some could be from isolation, desperation, or some other feeling entirely. Everyone handles trauma differently so broad generalizations for triggers simply don't work in my opinion.
The conversation is Taylor's worst day and why she didn't trigger which I mentioned could be because QA wasn't actively observing her so it does in fact have something to do with the conversation.
The lack of a proper support network does have a large part to play when it comes to suffering...
